I became fascinated with the concept of pilgrimage and especially spiritual pilgrimage. So, last year (2025) I decided to walk a portion of the Camino Frances for a second time, feeling I did not approach it properly. I wanted to share what I\u2019ve been wrestling with as I enter my 75th year.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Camino is primarily a Roman Catholic pilgrimage, but I\u2019ve learned, as a former fundamentalist Christian, a former Evangelical, and currently a member of an historic Black southern church, to appreciate the struggle for meaning and purpose in the ecumenical explorations of the life and times of Jesus.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>One could say my life\u2019s scaffolding has been erected from both the truth and untruth of organized belief. I will always be a sceptic and searcher, but personally believe Jesus defeating death gives hope for redemption and resurrection. I will continue to swap out existing framework for something closer to truth. Like the Bereans in the book of Acts we should all be diligent in our search.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The following articles and current diary entries allow me to process my thinking.
