My fingers kept slipping trying to extract the debit card and the machine ate it. Spent two hours with an automated voice system who could not figure out what I was saying. I finally worked something out.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hit the road two hours late to drive to Atlanta and ran into all kinds of road construction.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parked my car at my daughter Alexa and her husband Jack\u2019s house to save parking fees, changed clothes, and went out to eat. It was a breeze, but the special scanner for people loaded with metal (pacemaker, battery, and defibrillator) was not working so they gave me a thorough pat down, scanned my shoes, and held my bag for inspection. I bought a jar of Southern Vidalia onion relish as a gift for a taxi driver I met on my previous trip to Spain. This created a group discussion which finally gave approval to let me take it through.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seven hour plane ride to Madrid was uneventful and uncomfortable.
